I do this a lot too. My T and I have a lot of imaginary conversations that he has no idea about. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not. On one hand, it gives me the opportunity to refine my thoughts and practice sharing things with him that I might have felt were too overwhelming or too complicated to articulate spontaneously. And sometimes I use it as a delay tactic when I feel like things are getting a little out of control - WWTS - What Would T Say if I told him what I was feeling right now.

On the other hand, I can't really accurately imagine his response to most of the stuff and am sometimes disappointed when conversations don't work out in real life the way they did in my head.

So, no real answers here, just a shout out to say you're not the only one.
