I can say I understand your loss. In 1992, my only child, Serena, died on December 30th. She was sixteen years old and died in a car accident. Since then, my Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays have been a mixture of sadness and joy. Sadness for my loss and joy for her life. It does get easier as you develop new traditions.
