I have never been regular. I started when I was 14 and have always been off by a couple months or so. In 2007 I had gone almost 3 months without a period so I got my first pap smear (why do they call it that?? sounds gross!) When I went the Dr looked at my neck and felt it and said she was going to order a thyroid test for me. I was taking Lithium at the time and all. Turns out I have hypothyroidism. I take my little pill everyday and did ok for a long time.

Ok here goes...I havent had a period since the first of June. Im not pregnant (never had sex). Im guessing my thyroid is messing up again?? Ive got some symptoms: being cold all the darn time, memory problems, and weight gain and then of course no period. I got the blood test this past Thursday and am waiting for the results. I am hoping its my thyroid so it will explain it all but I wonder about my periods. Do I need to go ahead and go to a gyno? In the past theyve just put me on a bc pill. Should I bother? Is it bad not to have one? Should I just wait it out?
