I am due to have my thyroid out in a couple of weeks. I will be placed on synthyroid after they determine that I do not have thyroid cancer (if I do, I will have to wait until after RAI treatment). Although my thyroid blood work has always come back as normal, I too am hoping that the synthyroid will be that answer to my other wise "treatment resistant depression". Take care.
