My cousin was in his early 30's when he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, and they did a lot of treatments to shrink it, which gave him a few more years. For a while, he did fine, playing golf daily, able to drive, etc. I hope your friend is able to enjoy a few more good years.
