starlite, try this.....

right click on the pic you want to open. there will be a drop down and you can choose "Opens With". You click on that and you will have a choice of programs to open your pictures with. If you can't find the program you want, then click on browse to find what you want to use. Until you know for sure you have the right program opening your pics, unclick the little box that says "Always use this to open these files". Once you are sure that's the program you want to use always, put a tick in it the next time you choose that program and it will then stay to open all your pics in that program.
