I think that's great that you want to tell her thanks for her help, and I don't see any harm in sending a thank you note, so long as you won't be upset if she doesn't reply. Even if she appreciates the note, she may not respond due to concerns about starting out of session contact (I think different T's have different policies about that). But if you're OK with that, I don't see any harm.
