I went through a similar program and we basically had hour long lectures on different topics like anger management and symptom management. We would have that from 9-12 then go to lunch until 1, have group therapy from 1-2 and wrap-up session where you identify if you met your daily goals from 2-3. At first group therapy was uncomfortable for me and I think that goes for everyone but as you are in that setting and hear others talk and realize you're not going to be judged and you're safe you beging to be able to open up. I wasn't in the program for long.. i think 7 days.. with more time I would have gotten more from the group therapy part. I agree with farmergirl too though that a good group therapy leader will draw you into the discussion in a safe way. Good luck and I hope you are able to work the program.
