I,m very new to this site, and posting in general, so I'm slowly stumbling through how to figure out how to communicate in this site. During this two week journey I have gained inspiration and strength from all of you regulars in helping me through a difficult period enduring a bad depressive episode along with GAD overtones.

This is my first time ever experiencing anything like this, it started six months ago and really spiraled out of control three weeks ago. I finally went to a GP who prescribed lexapro and xanax. I think the xanax helped me get through the days until the lexapro could take effect. Ialso monitored this site and realized I was not alone and you all were helping me without even knowing it.

I went to my first pdoctor visit ever today, and can tell I've turned the corner because I've been able to reduce the xanax dosages the past three days. This may only be temporary, but at least the fog has lifted long enough to give me the energy to write this and thank all of you. You are all the greatest.

Thanks for this!
