I also have a goiter but I am in the hyper end of the spectrum......I am not medicated for hyper but my thyroid surgeon keeps an eye on me.

I also started perimenopuase at 31. I am now 36 and on HRT because the symptoms are horrendous and debilitating for me.......A BCP will help with regulating to some degree, but talk to your gynea about that and the interaction of BCP's with thyroid meds.......it is all part of the same system and one can really impact the other. I was put on BCP intially to help with peri symptoms but my goiter felt sore and swollen.......haven't had that to much degree on the HRT(different meds)........

So, yep to gynea babe........and if you don't have an endocrinologist, I would find one.......

Take good care of your precious self.......I really feel for you.......all this hormone stuff is horrible

Big Hugs,

I see my nurse practioner for my thyroid stuff. I will know tomorrow if my levels are right or not.
Thanks for this!
