Hi Barca,
why is your doc weening you off of a drug that worked for you?
What little I know about wellbutrin.
- Its prescribed for those who have adhd and depression
- it was used for smoking sessation.
- not sure if its for OCD which eating disorders fall under OCD.
one problem is its not recomended for those with anorexia becuase of a need to lose more weight than whats healthy because of various reasons.
So if you were under weight and losing more then I could see where you might get taken off.
If your a binger with a voracious appitie like women with compulsive over eating and bulimia with out anorexia . then it shoud not be a problem.
there are various reasons doctors take patients off .of drugs.
and thier reasoning is not always right.
let your doc know it was helping you and how .
There are other ways to deal with binging even if you feel depressed . You can figure out how you use food for your health rather than have food use you.
drugs help but they are not the cure.
