My mother was always clueless too. She found out about it through friends many years ago. She sent me to the hospital for a few days, and once I came back..She acted like everything was fine. Never paid attention to how I felt. So I know what you mean. But you say "used to"..I assume that means you haven't done it in awhile (which is good).
