I seem to be able to make the best impression but when they look up the ol criminal record and see that Ive multi DUI's I dont get an offer. Many times Ive been told they need someone to start next week or in a few days. Ive been handed employment papers to fill out pending their phone call with a starting date. They all but give me the keys to the office. It's been over ten years since my last DUI (which the courts found me not guilty), but the pattern proves too much for these companies to invest in me. Is there any way to explain this past behavior honestly and convience them I "had" a drinking problem due to BPD, but I have that part of my life together and dont drink any longer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hey,

That sounds a lot like me, except I'm bipolar not bpd. Have you ever been diagnosed bipolar? I take lithium now and it has solved those problems for me, yet I am faced with all the DUI's I had in the past potentially cropping up.
