I changed schools about once every 6 months or so from kindergarten onward - it made it hard to make friends - but I also didn't make any real enemies. It was also kind of cool in a way because none of my teachers had any expectations about me from earlier classes and I never had any kind of reputation to live up to - I could change my identity as often as I changed schools... If I wanted to be a tomboy one semester, then a preppy girl, then a stoner - no one knew me to say, "Hey! Stop acting like you're someone you're not!!!"

It's kind of carried over into my job life, tho - it takes me a long time to warm up to coworkers because there's always this expectation that I'll be quitting & going somewhere else to work after 6 months or so. It's also taken me quite a few years to start collecting belongings (not that this is necessarily a good thing) - I used to be able to pack everything I owned into two suitcases - I was always ready to move.
