Yep! People have a way of mirroring each other's affects which often extends to feeling the same feelings, even if we don't know that we are picking up on the other person's "vibes". I can be triggered to a hypomania being around someone else who is manic/hypomanic. Hasn't happened in a while, but it has. People will even cry when seeing someone else cry. I think people who have tendencies to get depressed are very sensitive to other's signals and can be a bit over responsive, as Rohag says.
Much huggs! It's an irritating phenomenon but excellent when it comes to working with people, if you can tun it off and come home without the extra emotions.
