Hello & Welcome, Ap337!
Your apprehensions concerning seeking help - particularly if it must come in the form of medication - are understandable. I've been on medications for years. I realize I need them, but they haven't improved my life so much as prevented me from crashing.
If you do reach the point where you feel comfortable seeking help, remember
you are in charge; make the doctor or therapist understand your fears concerning drugs. They should work with you, they should inform you (or, you should ask directly) about all possible medication side-effects and what constitutes a therapeutic dosage.

Can you do anything about this situation? This is not a rhetorical question: In the long run, will it benefit you to get the kind of help that could make you more effective in completing something you loathe? Do you hope not to loathe it in the long run?
In any event, I believe it is in your best interests to seek counsel. Get good information about what therapeutic paths are open to you.
