Bipolar 1 and took a hard mental fall this weekend. I don't work (SSDI) and my wife even decided to take time off this week so she could be around me more. My sister and mother have both had 'the talk' with me about how important I am to them and don't do anything stupid.....I feel on the verge of breaking. The last time I was in the hospital was 2 years ago for 2 months. At that time I had the resources to go to a private 'country club' hospital. No more resources but good insurance. I am terrified of going into the local psych ward. It is in a hospital in a pretty small town. I just don't know what to do and I afraid to call psych doc.
