Hi RedBlue...
I'm glad your appointment went well. So it's a low grade benign tumor? This is actually good news. First, it's benign and second it's a low grade.
What kind of tissue is it? What is the tissue's name? Is it a menengioma, schwannoma, adenoma, a hemangioblastoma, a cranial pharyngioma, or a choriod plexus papilloma?
I'm surprised to hear that the doc suggested chemo for a benign, low grade tumor as this is seldom done for these types of tumors. The typical treatment for benign, low grade tumors is surgical resection and/or radiation. Did your Doc mention why he thinks the chemo would be the best route?
I hope you find out. I'd hate to think that your Doc would put you through something like chemo when it wasn't really necessary.
Keep us posted.
