I'm also sorry you experienced that and are in fear of losing your job. Here are a couple of thoughts I had pondering the situation (I wish to stress this is not advice; just the stray thoughts of a depressed, somewhat quirky mind):

1. Sure, you want to do well at your job; no one (OK, maybe a few) wants to be known as incompetent. But, do you really want to excel at something for which you are not suited or destined? What if Yo-Yo Ma had somehow gotten into food service and did so well at it that he never took up the cello?

2. Sometimes I feel ornery. Fantasizing about your situation (you did say elsewhere you think you've found a new therapist, yes?), I think I might go back to the managers and request a hard copy report of their counseling to present to your therapist; you need it because the report will supply evidence of the impact of your disorders on your "activities of daily living" (ADLs). What's going to buzz through their minds? "Argh! Americans with Disabilities Act! Lawyers! Potential lawsuits! Mountains of paperwork!" Ah, a middle manager's nightmare! Let them have some sleepless nights.

I can dream...
