Welcome tomadann96, see you are new here.
I am not a very good one to determine how drugs work for others because I have had so many horrible side effects from them.
For me, thorazine was a horrible experience. I ended up having effects that were just like having parkinson's. It happened fairly soon after starting it & it took a while for them to figure out that in was the cause. It really scared me because even after I stopped taking it, the symptoms lasted for over a month. I was actually at the point where I didn't know if was actually parkinson's or a reaction. What you must understand is that everyone reacts different to drugs & what I experience you may not. However after doing some research on thorazine, my reaction is a known reaction. Thorazine is an older drug & they now have ones that work the same without that possible side effect. They put me onto seroquel after the thorazine & I was fine once I got the med out of my body.
Now Zyprexa, the only thing that happened was migraines....I stopped taking it because of that since I had just gotten my migraines under control & didn't want to aggrivate it at all....couldn't go back to the pain ever.
Like I said, I am probably the worst case example for drugs & you may not have any reactions at all....depends on how sensitive you are to things.
Hope this helps....sure others will have more information for you.
Take care & welcome again...I have found everyone here is so kind & supportive. Sure you will too,
Debbie
