We are having my son seen by a behavioral specialist for the first time. He had been seen in California by some drs. at Kaiser. They never took the time to figure out if the diag needed to be changed, was the same or anything! They just kept his meds the same....for 5 years!!!
He's 9 now and living with us. We are going to make sure he gets the best help possible. The dr. he is going to is so booked and strict that if you cancel the first appt, you can't make another one!
I am crossing my fingers and hoping we get the best and accurate diag he could get.
Can anyone tell me some of what might happen with the appointment? Like, do they let him play with blocks and draw or do they ask a ton of questions? I am anxious about it and want to make sure I am as prepared as possible!
