 indeed, I find all animals to be beautiful in their own unique ways (yes, even the "sea pig" which looks kinda like a water balloon) unfortunately the neck is very important to the giraffe and I don't think the vet's would have the technology to treat such a large neck depending on the injury (it's not like you can build a giant neck brace as it does need some flexibility for daily life)
like you said before, she is no longer in pain and that in itself is a wonderful thing
