It's Christmas time, and I'm not normally a Scrooge, but my neighbors have these musical outdoor lights that make me absolutely INSANE.

I sleep with my bedroom window open all winter. I'm always hot and I just like a really chilly bedroom. I sleep the best in the winter because with the window open and fan blowing in, I can snuggle down into the comforter and be just the perfect temperature.

EXCEPT from the middle of November to the end of January. They have this crappy brash music playing non-stop from dusk until dawn. I hear it over the fan in the window, over the TV and when the sleep timer goes off on the TV, that stupid "music" wakes me up. When I'm on the phone, people will ask me to turn the music down I WISH I COULD.

Every flipping year I send my husband over to politely ask that it be turned off at 10 pm. I don't think it's unreasonable, but apparently Mr. Christmas Spirit does not agree. So every flipping year I have to call and complain to the police repeatedly. They can hear it at the police station, this jerk's house is exactly in the middle between my house and the police station.

I do not condone vadalism. But every year someone (kids I suspect) goes out and deflates all of those blow up decorations people have in their yards. The police stopped hubby and I one evening while out walking the dogs, asked if WE were responsible for this. I was so irritated, I said "of course not, but if I knew who was doing it, I'd have them cut the cord on those musical lights."
