I got mixed up a bit at first about what you meant when your said we 'took the pain' but now I undertand that you are saying. "I had what it takes".

Well, Hunny thinks I don't have to take on any pain anymore, so I'm going to have to find something else to do, like sing or do art work, I guess. Well I've got to go now. See you around. I hope you write me soon. Shame
