When I had my wreck in 2003, my car was towed to a place. Well the owner called about a week later and said he needed it off his lot so my grandmother and me went to go pay the money and get the car. When we got there the owners wife said she had already sold it to a used car guy down the road. Which as fine by me it took care of the lot fees and I did'nt have to worry about towing it home. I went to the car dealer to get stuff out of the car. It was some clothes my Cds and my Valium the doctor gave me and the title to the car so I could have it transfered to the car dealer. He would'nt let me nowhere near my car and made me leave his lot. Well I forogt about all of that until today. I went to go put a truck my grandmother gave me in my name and found out that the IRS audited me for my wrecked car. Apparently the car still has an active title so I owe back taxes from 04 till now. Well my question is is'nt this like stealing? I never gave my permission to sell the car. And when they did I never signed anything giving the title to them. I did'nt even know they had sold it till it was too late. Now I have to pay all these back taxes before I can even get a vehicle.
