You're right. That is extremely annoying that they just sent you to a GP, put you on meds, and after all this time you finally see a pdoc and they just want to assume that you should be better since you have had time off and been on meds. I think they should have been giving you counseling and monitoring to find meds that work for you. It's not that easy to fix a problem like depression. But that's my opinion - for what it's worth. I don't know what options you have. Will it make any difference to let them know that your needs haven't been met and the problem has not been fixed?
