I would say that the original sale wasn't legal to begin with, however once you agreed to the sale, there should have been some paperwork. You didn't have to sign anything? Here the only way they can sell the vehicle is if it's considered abandoned. You can't even junk a vehicle here without signing the title over to the junkyard.
