Communication goes both ways and every person has a different way of communicating. Some can sit down and talk to someone face to face, some communicate better over a phone (kind of like going to Catholic confession and having the screen between you and the priest). Some find it much much easier to communicate by taking time to write things down until its perfect (me!). Keep trying different methods, and have your husband try different methods and hopefully you'll find something that works for both of you.
