We like all the affirmations and suggestions from the others.

Ours was not exactly from a waking-up state but often in a stressed out place, like an arguement, he would become somone else or maybe something else in our eyes. It brought out all kinds of switches within, could be child alters full of fear, sadness, anger, panic, anxiety and or a protector who would go and do a sometimes foolish thing to protect (it would think).

Just the other night my husband was going to work on third shift. He was waking me up to give me a kiss and tell me good night before he left. When he woke me up I panicked. I couldnt see who it was, I didnt know who he was. He said I started screaming and acting really strange. By the time he left I was awake enough to know who he was and I felt bad for responding to him in such a way. I try to explain to him that somtimes I see him and dont know who he is. It only happens at night though.

Do any of you ever experience this and told a Dr about it? What was there response on why it happens. How do you prevent these kinds of episodes from occuring? Thanks for any input!
