Hi there - seen the thread about online resources. How about one about inspiring / useful / recommended books for us to read? Good to have for while we're away from psychcentral!!

(moderators - if there is a thread that does this already please feel free to delete this - but could you point me in its direction first!)

To kick things off I'd go for a few classics:

'Potatos Not Prozac' - Kathleen Des Maisons
'Overcoming Binge Eating' - Christopher Fairburn
'Fat is a Feminist Issue' - Susie Orbach (funny how this book seems to have it all even after 30 years or so!)
and
'Self Help For Your Nerves' - Dr Claire Weekes

come on, tell us your recommendations - mine are all on the 'advice' side, but some 'real life' story types would be great as well, or simply a really inspiring novel

look forward to your replies!
