In one study that I participated in, the researcher found that people with fibro reported anxiety and depression 3X more often than general population- but it is the fibro mechanism in the body causing it or the fact of dealing with chronic pain? Maybe when doctors are able to ID what causes the fibro, then they will have a better idea about how it affects all parts of the body.
