Hi all,

Anyone else here with this problem? I put it here, and even though this may not be a eating disorder, its on the same line.
I've got High triglycerides, cholesteral. I'm not fat, in top shape for my age, correct weight, etc. But dang, The family physician gets upset with me cuz my trigs. are tooooo high, lol
I've tried cholesteral meds, but the side effects were intolerable. Total muscle fatigue. You can't function with constant muscle fatigue! So, I refused to take the meds.
I was able to control my trigs by only using diet. Dang, it works to do it that way, but slowlllly I slip back into the routine of eating the good stuff. DQ ice cream-candy bars-perhaps too much red meat, cookies. deserts. If I eat the canned fish, chicken without skin, fresh fruit and veggies, and whole grains I'm fine with the cholesterol, but then the bad habits start creeping back. duh. lol
It takes 3 weeks to detox ones self of bad eating, and that is being strict. If I can get by the 3 weeks, I'll feel great, and the trigs will come down.
I guess my point on this whole article is: I notice people that have weight problems, and you may look at someone who looks like they are in tip-top shape, but that don't mean they don't have anything going on throughout their Blood stream. I am NOT a fast-food person either, and my diet is basically healthy. This just goes to prove that you are what you eat. For lunch today, I had a bowl of brown rice, some butter beans, and a stalk of broccli. well, one day down, and 2 weeks and 6 days to go. Detox time everyone. And oh yeah, Water, lots and lots of water!

Cheers all,
