Female Vet chiming in here. This support group would be a great help for you. I bet you would be very surprised who is dealing with depression and bipolar in those support groups for military wives. Maybe go check out more than one...you might like one more than the other...still not finding what you are looking for? Why not start your own group? Military bases have lots of conference rooms and other places to meet. Make a flyer and website and post 'em everywhere; the bulletin board at the Px, churches, med facilities and every where else you can think of. Tell your doc...he may have suggestions too. Also Google your local NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Il)...maybe they have a good group already established. DBSA (Depression Bipolar Support Association (I think that is what it is called). Hope you have some luck with these suggestions. Wish I was there to help you. This seems like a fun project. You could have guest speakers and all kinds of junk. This place is a life saver too...open 24/7!
