I have bipolar disorder and also work in mental health so I know that it can be done successfully. Maybe you could be on the manufacturers plan and get your meds for free. That's how I get my Abilify (880/month) and Topomax(1100/month). I am always up front with my employers and they seem to appreciate it. Now I am working as a group intervention facilitator and doing really well. Of course it involves taking good care of myself which is a full time job and I get a lot of support.
