So I went to see a new therapist, and he pointed out that not only does my new job have EAP, but so does my husband's job. So I could have got some free EAP sessions way back when, but no one told me.
So he tells me to go get them now, and use them for him. I do. And like an idiot, I ask if there is any way I can get reimbursed for previous years. Because it says you get six visits PER YEAR.
Well now they're probably going to deny the whole dang thing because "EAP is for a temporary situation and not long-term counseling."
So what. I need therapy, and you didn't give me any when I could have got it when it really was a crisis situation. Why can't I get a flipping 6 sessions now?
I'm an idiot.
