I don't always read this board and I was so busy last week I wasn't keeping up, so I just saw this. I'm so sorry that your dad is like that. Has he always been that way?

From what I've seen you post before, I know you are are a wonderful person, intelligent, talented, .... Of course it isn't your fault. He has a problem, and he takes it out on you because you're available and he can. Please don't believe his lies. Tell 'ya what - whatever lies he tells you, if you aren't sure you can assure yourself that it's a lie and you really are a good person, just let us know about it and we'll tell you that it's a lie. Deal?

If you really want to go to college, you can do it. If your parents don't help you, maybe it won't be easy but you can do it. I did, and my parents didn't help me. You're 16. Soon you'll be free of him and your whole life is in front of you. The future is yours for the taking, and it's what you make of it.

You are a wonderful person, no matter what he tells you.
