Actually, from what I have read, scented anything (feminine deodorant spray, scented soap, etc.) can increase a woman's chances of getting a yeast infection. I personally find that harsh soaps leave me raw, itchy, irritated, and burning, and do seem to cause a greater incidence of yeast infections. I suspect that yes, some women prob. don't have much of a prob. with this stuff, while some might have an extreme reaction to it, and others fall in the middle. Yet, the info. I've read suggests it is best to avoid scented stuff. If everything has a healthy and not unpleasant smell, what is the point, anyway? Just because they approve something for use, doesn't mean it is perfectly safe or healthy, or the best thing for your body. Also, although it might not be toxic, there is a difference betwen toxic and irritating. Bubble bath has been approved when it goes to market, and it isn't considered toxic, but it CAN and DOES cause or increase the rate of yeast infections, according to doctors. I was told as a kid, my frequent yeast infections could be a result of bubble bath. We quit using it and I didn't keep a yeast infection, anymore.
