I hear you BNL with the thoughts. I have a very chatty mind no matter what my current state is (depressed, mixed, normal). It's nice to have labels (ie. depressed phase, mixed phase, etc) but in my estimation I care more about how I actually feel. The online tests are great but like they say, they're not diagnostic. I like to do a check in sometimes with an online test but what I have found most helpful is keeping a mood chart. There is one I love as it's all inclusive - manic, normal, depressed, anxiety, irritability, weight, meds, sleep. It's all on one page. Here's the link:
http://www.healthyplace.com/bipolar-...rt/menu-id-67/. It's through HealthyPlace and has a blank chart, instructions for completing, and a sample completed chart. I have found this to be the easiest to use as you can account for being mixed (for me depressed and hypomanic all in the same day). This is really helpful for your pdoc and T to see when you go in as it shows where you've been. You know as well as I do that when you're hearing so much noise in your head it's hard to go to an appt and remember exactly how you've been since your last visit. Hope you're feeling better soon. Take good care!!!!
