I wasn't eating because I was feeling nausea constantly & when I would take a bite of food, it would just make it worse. I was at the point of completely not eating or drinking which started last December.......within a month, I was in the hospital with a PICC line & IV nutrition which got pulled within 24 hours due to a problem with the PICC line site (allergy reaction or infection). I left the hospital for a few days to be at my Mothers funeral & returned to the hospital a few days later to have a central line put in with IV nutrition. It too got infected but they gave finally gave me an antibiotic I wasn't allergic to & got it under control. I had issues I was trying to deal with that wasn't understood at the time that were causing the nausea which caused me to quit eating because I hate to get sick to my stomach.

The comment you made in your post " I refuse to eat when people try to make me" sounds like there may be a control issue you need to deal with. Not eating can be a control issue in itself. I know that when I couldn't control other things in my life, eating was always something I had under my control.....I could make my stomach feel not hungry too....that was a control issue too. I know the previous time I wasn't eating due to a reaction to several antidepressants I was on, I also had suicidal issues I was dealing with & it was also part of my thought process which also ties in with the control issues I had too.

It can be complicated & there can actually be medical reasons that are causing your problem......the whole picture needs to be looked at & no reasons should be discarded without it being checked. I appreciated my GP doing all the tests so I knew nothing seriously was wrong & what he found reinforsed what was really the problem since under the situation I was in, the cortisol levels are related to major stress & trauma reactions.

Good luck with your DR, & make sure that no stone is left unturned.....including your mental issues (including suicide....I know that logic myself), & anything physical.

I'm sure you will find some answers & therapy is something needed even if it is something physical because there is always a mental side to weight loss even if it is a physical cause.
