One thing I do with people who seem consistently hostile or unsupportive towards me here (or toward others too), is that I block them. That way, I can't read any posts they make. Most frequently I have done this with people I perceive to be trolls (making posts with the deliberate goal of upsetting people and causing trouble). Or sometimes I don't like a person's insensitive/disrespectful or inflammatory way of communicating. To block or "ignore" someone, go to your profile page and click on "Edit Ignore List" under Settings & Options in the lefthand menu column.
