What a refreshing and insightful introduction to yourself and one that will give hope to many people here, welcome to PC. It is indeed a very simple user friendly site to use. It was founded by Doc John in the early 00's and he holds Q&A sessions weekly that are well attended in the chatrooms, there are many other more specific chats weekly dealing with issues like bipolar and depression, DBT therapy, Borderline personality disorder, parenting and so many others you wiil find the full list under calendaron the blue bar at the top of the page. The site is overseen by a very kind and caring team of administrators and moderators. Respect for each is key here and whether you are here to support or in need of support you will always find a lsitening ear, it may take sometime to get an answer to your post as this is a gloal site and you are dealing with lots of time zones, but you get to meet wonderful people from all over the globe and it is fascinating to learn of different cultures and ways of life. There are community guidelines I would urge you to read at first so that it is clear to you how the site operates. We are a secular group of people and generally talk of a religious nature is not encouraged as we have so many people from different backgrounds but if you wish to add a spiritual edge to your post got to the spiritual forum where you are able to add a more spiritual dimension to it. The forums are divided into specific issues like Bi Polar. Eating disorders, Dissosicative disorders, personality disorders and then there are the non speciofic forums like general social chat, other mental health issues, creative corner and many many more. You may find from time to time you are in need of support then you should post your issue and how it is affecting you, then wait a while as it is a global site and you are dealing with different timezones so youmay not get an answer immediately, but you will in time get feedback alternatively you may be a supportive type person then you jsut respond to the person who maybe in distress with a supportive response. Most of all you make great friends here and remember above all to respect the members of the community. It is important to bare in mind that this is a mental health site so you will come across people in varying degrees of wellness and they need to be treated accordingly. start with this link
