Don't forget that life gets in there and is different from plans :-)

You don't have to go one way or another; you can do both, there's a lifetime ahead. I "had" to do stuff when I was in college in the late 1960's and early 1970's and it got me a job eventually and took my life in a different direction than I envisioned. BUT, this was before computers and I turned out to be good at computers so my life went somewhere I could not have envisioned in 1966 when I was wishing? Too, in 2007 I got my degree in what I was wishing in 1966 :-) and went on to grad school that I never thought/imagined would/could happen.
