I think Monty says it perfectly. You never asked for abuse to happen to you, and you were a child, you couldn't fight against it, and the only way to cope was to become DID, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's the abusers who should feel the shame for doing what they did. Unfortunately you had to bear the brunt of their own failings, but that doesn't make you any worse as a person, instead it makes you stronger since you came through it and survived.
