Like others here I can relate to disturbing thoughts. They can really be debilitating. I am sorry you have them too.
Consulting professions for a medical - psychological explaination about why they happen can provide you with valuable insight.
Meanwhile you may find it useful to at least not entertain them as a way of controlling them. Let them exit without giving them any more air time. Acknowledge them when they happen. Assess them as warped and they try to counter them with a rationale thought that exposes them as false so that you can move forward clean of their poison.
