Best senario is to talk to your pdoc as soon as possible and tell him you feel your meds not working and why you feel that way. He needs to change them gradually. Otherwise you will experience what feels like electric shocks going off in your brain, headaches, changes in eating and sleeping patterns, horrific mood swings (even worse than you have now), loss of impulse control, lots of crying and possible suiside idea fixe or possible suicide attempt or self distructive behavior. My meds for my bipolar are: 125 mp Effexor, 900 mg Lithium Carbonate, 100 mg of Seroquel, 2 mg klonopin. Someone at the airport decided to help themselves to all my meds and a glass jar of Earl Grey tea, so I was out for 2 days. Pdoc overnighted my meds and we expected a short but intense fall out. This happened over the last three days. And somewhere out there in the friendly skys is someone trying to get high off an Earl Grey joint or playing Russian Roulette with their brain chemicals just for grins. So call your pdoc tomorrow!
