You are going through a hard time right now, and it seems like when you were with your bf, you might have neglected your own personal life a little...maybe this is why you are broken up, or why you are taking a break.
I would take this as an opportunity to really do some things for yourself. Do you have an hobbies? Take an art class or yoga class or cooking or something YOU like to do? Even join an online book club? I don't know what you like to do, or what made you happy in the past but look online for stuff in your area. It may be hard at first if you are depressed to start something new (this is what I am going through personally right now). You could volunteer somewhere like an animal shelter, hospital or charity...this would fill your time in a very good way AND allow you to meet some new people.
It sounds like your friends are more interested in getting drunk and looking cool than being a real friend. I guess you are in your early 20's as I am, and let me tell you, this is a serious problem for 20-somethings! Real friends are hard to come by, but if you are patient and focus on yourself and stop trying to look cool in front of them, things will work out.
