I remember when I had braces (I was 29-30 years old) I had a lot of weird teeth dreams. I had a "bar" across the roof of my mouth to hold the two teeth it was connected to on either side "solid" so they wouldn't move, just the other ones around them; they were the "anchors" but one night I dreamed my braces with this bit of metal half circle around the roof of my mouth were a caning jar lid! And the half circle pulled forward and my braces became disconnected from my teeth and the metal bits started spinning around their connecting wire so they were facing every which way so I couldn't get them lined up again to put it all back the way it was supposed to be! My most depressing dream though was being in the checkout line of the grocery store and realizing I'd chosen thick steaks, apples, all things I couldn't/shouldn't eat with my braces and being mortified.
I was in therapy when I had my braces and I'm sure the dreams were all related to my uncertainties and anxieties at the time. If I were to dream I'd swallowed teeth, it would immediately make me wonder what words I wished I could, or had in fact, swallowed. I don't know if you're in therapy but for me, in therapy at the time, I would have thought I had told my therapist (or someone) some information (the 5 teeth in your hand) but had "swallowed" the rest to get rid of it or because I was afraid of it, etc.
