I had a dream this morning where I was an important person in a small community. The poor and the wealthy did not get along at all and I was a middleman who everyone loved. They usually all came to me for advice but never offered support or even asked me how my day was going so I didn't know how much they actually cared about me. A vision of the future came to me during a town parade.

After the parade I stood on a balcony of a black family's home and announced three things that were to come. The first was they were to be granted a wish and it is my wish for everyone to wish for all of the books ever written to be placed into the library which was said to be three times the size of the Smithsonian. They were to especially ask for children books. When they received the books they were to read them all over their lifetimes and pass on the stories from generation to generation.

The second was I was going to be ill in the next half hour and would be taken to the hospital where I would breathe my last breath. I asked with a trembling voice to not be alone in my journey. To this everyone hearing nodded with understanding and many were afraid to lose me. They promised to not let me die and that I would return to the community. I compassionately reassured them that they did not need me for they would have the books and gain answers there.

The third was that the driver of the ambulance would become our brother.

I then went to my home to pack a few things to take with me. My step-dad was there and kept staring at me challenging me to get sick and go to the hospital and die. He never believes anything I say. My two biological brothers and mother were there too. Mom was pretty numb to the whole thing. She kept saying we never know what'll happen in the future and that maybe I thought wrong. I tried to reassure her but it's hard to when you know you'll be leaving this world behind. The oldest brother was very concerned and defended me time after time and the brother next to me was a bit in his own world but concerned for me as the others of the community were.

I packed a change of clothes and sat on a chair to rest. I began to feel chest pains and had a hard time breathing. I still sat there for a bit then decided it was up to me to call for an ambulance since my family's oblivious to what I'm going through. I stood up to get the telephone and collapsed on the floor balled up with my knees to my chest stomach side down chest pressed to my thighs. I've never been in such agony before.

The first one by my side was the eldest brother who I do not trust. He tried to carry me to the stairs while the brother closest to me called for an ambulance. I proved too heavy for him as I could not offer any help in lifting myself. My step-dad scoffed at me and told me to stop faking it. Mom was very upset and yelled that I wasn't pretending.

While they argued my brothers carried me to the steps where we were met by some rich folk who helped me down the stairs and into the suburban that doubled as an ambulance. As we went down the road a few people climbed in the ambulance with us and few joined us in spirit. Physically leaving their bodies behind and coming into the ambulance. There were a few comedic events in that ambulance that even made me laugh and smile despite the pain. I listened on as the spirits and people talked to the driver about what kind of community we live in and I knew he would be joining us soon by the time we arrived to the hospital.

I woke up from the dream knowing I would die in that hospital but I felt at peace with it. In my dream I had touched many lives and though I thought I was unappreciated everyone would grieve me and allow me to live through the books I myself loved.
