i saw my pdoc yesterday, just to get the final all clear for my trek to russia. i have moved house so will need to register with a new gp, and technically a new psych as well. but he said he thinks it won't be necessary - he said i'm well enough to be discharged! i've had 3 "blips" (as i call them) in the last year but for the first time i actaully spotted them in time and spoke to the doc and got treated before it got major. in the past i'd bottle up and wait til i got bad enough to be sectioned, so i've improved.

he said that he is confident that if i feel myself getting ill again i will talk to the doctor in enough time to get treated.

so, hurrah!!! i'm free!
