Wow!! That's fantastic - that first step is really hard but you've done it now. So whenever the motivation lags, just remember that you've done it before and can do it again !!

I am glad Lithium seems to be working for you - it is considered the gold standard treatment for Bipolar. Just make sure you get your regular blood tests done - it is critical to keep the blood levels stable.

Unfortunately, I couldn't be stabilized on Lithium so I am on a cocktail of Valproate (suppoedly next best thing to Lithium), antidepressant (Effexor) and antispychotic (Seroquel). So it's great if you can manage just on Lithium.

Best of luck and keep up the exercise - that's good for you both physically and mentally !!

best wishes

Actually, I am on quite a cocktail... Lithium 300mg, Trileptal 1200mg, Prozac 30mg, Seroquel 50mg. I take 10 pills each day. Now that I am feeling better, I feel like it is worth it. I am trying not to pin all my hopes on a few good days, but they don't feel like frantic energy. It just feels like I am a little more motivated than before and things are a little easier to deal with. Side effects are subsiding.

I exercised again yesterday and this evening I will do some light strength training.

Even though I am able to do more, I feel like I am resting. Does that make sense? My T siad it best today: "It's nice to see you not so tormented."
